Braid · USB-C cable, 2 m
240 W, 40 Gbps, braided, strain relief you can see
A cable is the part that fails, so this one is built at the ends. The strain relief is a 22 mm moulded boot over an internal anchor, not a shrink sleeve, and the braid is a double-weave nylon over a TPE core that does not take a memory kink. 240 W and 40 Gbps, which means it will charge a laptop and carry a display at the same time, and the ratings are laser-etched into the shell so they are still readable in two years. Two metres, because 1 metre never reaches and 3 metres always tangles. It is rated to 25 000 bends at 180 degrees, we test to that number, and if it fails before the two years are out we replace it.
