Bench 1 · over-ear headphones

The Bench 1 is the pair we build everything else around. A 40 mm dynamic driver in a graphite-glass housing, 34 hours on a charge with the radio on, 8 hours from a ten-minute charge. The earpads come off with a quarter twist and go back on the same way, no tool and no glue; a fresh set is $29 and we stock it for five years after the model is discontinued. The headband is steel under the wrap, so the adjustment holds where you left it. The cable port is USB-C and the 3.5 mm socket is real, not a dongle. Weight is 268 g on our scale, measured with the pads fitted. Twelve screws hold it together and none of them is hidden under a sticker.
