Shelf 4 · powered monitors, pair

Shelf 4 is a pair of powered monitors for a desk or a shelf, not a room. Four-inch paper woofer, one-inch silk dome, 50 watts a side from an amplifier that lives in the left cabinet. The right cabinet takes a single speaker cable, so there is one mains lead in the room and not two. Inputs are USB-C, RCA and 3.5 mm, and the volume knob is a detented analogue potentiometer on the front, where your hand already is. The cabinets are 15 mm MDF with an internal brace, which is why they weigh 3.2 kg each and why they do not buzz at the bottom of a bass line. Ports are rear-firing; leave 10 cm behind them.
